Tender Description
The works for R7096 – Facilities & Infrastructure to support AIR7000 Phase 2B Maritime Patrol Aircraft Project for Forward Operating Bases - Package 4 – RAAF Base Darwin (NT) include:
* An extension of the military hard stand (MHS) apron to establish a Code D flight line and access to a new maintenance hangar.
* Redevelopment of southern heavy-duty apron (SHDA) to establish an additional Code E stand.
* A new apron hardstand adjacent TWY J to accommodate relocated Code A/B aircraft stands.
* An extension to the existing MHS fuel hydrant line to service the 4th Code E aircraft stand on the SHDA and the new Code D aircraft stands established on the MHS.
* New aircraft rinse facility including access taxiways, control building and services infrastructure to accommodate multiple aircraft types (P-8A Poseidon, C-130 Hercules, C-27J Spartan, and P-3C Orion aircraft), including parking area pavements, shoulders and access taxiways.
* New and relocated floodlighting towers to provide amenity lighting to aprons.
The works to be constructed include, but are not limited to:
* Flexible and rigid pavements;
* Aeronautical ground lighting;
* Below ground services and infrastructure including high voltage; and
* Demolition.
