Tender Description
The Victorian Government (State) is currently delivering a major transport initiative involving dozens of major road and rail projects being built across Victoria. Significant planning is also underway for a number of projects that are set to transform the way Victorians travel and to continue to support Victoria’s liveability and economic success.
The M80 Ring Road Upgrade is a 38-kilometre upgrade of the M80 Ring Road that will bring improvements to the corridor capacity and freeway management. It is of State and Federal significance due to the cross-city and freeway linking connections and it provides for over 165,000 vehicles daily, as well as being an integral component of the Victorian and Australian economy.
Due to its size and complexity, the upgrade is being delivered in sections. Upgrade of the M80 Ring Road sections between Western Highway and Sunshine Avenue, between Edgars Road to Plenty Road and between Calder Freeway to Sydney Road have been completed. Sydney Road to Edgars Road and Plenty Road to Greensborough Highway (Northern Sections) are to be procured as a single Design and Construct contract.
The Major Roads Project Authority (MRPA) will be responsible for procurement of the Project and will be supported by the Department of Treasury & Finance’s Partnerships Victoria unit.
The MRPA, on behalf of the State, invites suitably qualified Respondents to submit Expressions of Interest for the delivery of the M80 Upgrade – Northern Sections.
