Tender Description
Council is seeking quotations for the supply and installation of one single cricket net at Ernie Knight Oval and one single cricket net at Tooraweenah Oval, Gilgandra.
This project requires the supply and installation of cricket nets in accordance with the following specifications:
* All posts to be installed into concrete and with chainwire mesh installed to back, side and top as per drawing EKCN01.
* Chainwire mesh to be installed over roof (3.6m x 9m).
* Tie Wire needs to be attached 1m above top of slab, to support rubber guard.
* End corner post material: 80NB Gal – MG
* Intermediate post material: 50NB Gal - MG
* Top/roof/bottom rail material: 50NB Gal – MG
* Chainwire (sides and rear) 50x3.15 Gal HG KK
* Chainwire (roof-over) 50x2.50 HG KK
* Cricket net system to be set on top of concrete slab (15.4 x 4.0m). End posts set 200mm from edge of slab.
* Complete gal caps, post and rail clamps
* Synthetic turf (to be specified by contractor) to be glued on to slab (15m x 3.72m). Popping, bowling and return crease as per drawing EKCN01.
* Rubber guard (to be specified by contractor) are to be attached to internal side of net (33.2m x1.0m)
* Cricket stump to be manufactured as per drawing EKCN02. The location of the cricket stump can be found on drawing EKCN01. Cricket stump is set into the concrete 200mm deep.

The project also includes removal of the old cricket nets. Please note the Gilgandra
Waste Facility will accept clean fencing wire and scrap steel (poles) at no cost however contaminated fencing wire has a charge of $40 per m³.
