Tender Description
Port Stephens Council requires the services of a team of suitably qualified and experienced consultants who have the capacity and expertise to document the design of Port Stephens Koala Sanctuary for construction, following recent submission of the design for Development Approval. It is recommended that the consultants visit the site to ascertain actual site conditions and respond to this tender.
The work comprises the provision of professional services required to embellish existing DA documentation for Port Stephens Koala Sanctuary to obtain a Construction Certificate, document the design for construction and achieve a 5 star Green Star rating for the Tourism Centre and Koala Clinic buildings.
The site is located at No 562 Gan Gan Road, One Mile NSW, approximately 38 kilometres north/east of Newcastle. The proposed development is to adapt the existing Port Stephens Treescapes Camping and Tourist Resort for use as a Koala Sanctuary and eco-tourist facility. The development generally consists of a Tourism Centre including cafe / central safe refuge and office building, Koala Clinic, Koala enclosures and tree top walk, 14 four person tents, 6 two person tents, parking area and walkways. The site is located approximately 600m to 1km from breaking surf.
