Tender Details
Tender Description
South East Water’s licence area covers approximately 3,640 square kilometres from Port Melbourne to Portsea and from Mordialloc to some 40 kilometres east of Berwick. The current sewerage systems are delineated into 40 Sewerage Catchments and comprises approximately 7,500 km of sewer mains, from 100mm to 1200mm in diameter. It is South East Water’s intention is to develop hydraulic sewerage models for all of its catchments to gain a better understanding of the networks performance and identify areas of concern.
Engineering Consultants (Principal Contractor hereafter) are now invited to submit proposals for the development of models for the Hobsons Bay & Caulfield West and Hobsons Bay & South Yarra catchments. The awarded Principal Contractor is required to engage and manage a preferred Hydrological Services Contractor (Flow Monitoring Contractor hereafter) to carry out concurrent datalogging and flow monitoring work to enable calibration of the computer models for both dry and wet weather conditions. It is expected that data recording will commence in September 2018. The Principal Contractor will then use the audited data for model calibration.
The Principal Contractor is responsible for appropriate supervision and management of the Flow Monitoring Contractor, including managing the Flow Monitoring Contractor’s Occupational Health and Safety obligations.
