Professional Career Planning Service for Year 9 Students in Victorian Government Schools

⁠⁠⁠The Department of Education and Training leads the delivery of education and training services to children, young people and adults.

The Department implements Victorian Government policy on early childhood services, school education and training and higher education services. It also manages Victorian government schools and drives improvement in primary and secondary government education.

The Department is seeking to commission an external provider to deliver a Professional Career Planning Service for all Year 9 students in Victorian government schools (approximately 39,000 students in over 400 schools per year, including English Language settings, Specialist Schools, Flexible Learning campuses, Parkville College and the Distance Education Centre of Victoria) commencing in early 2019. This Service will be an essential support to the effective introduction of Career e-Portfolios for students in Year 9, which will be tendered separately for commencement in 2019.

The Professional Career Planning Service will involve students undertaking a formal career diagnostic assessment followed by a one-on-one career guidance session with a qualified career practitioner.
