Municipal Fire Prevention Roadside Slashing

⁠⁠⁠Coucnil is seeking to appoint a panel of contractors to carry out the "Fire Prevention roadside slashing".

To reduce fire hazards on designated Council managed roadsides by applying slashing to reduce the available grass and fuel loads.

To ensure that the Work is carried out in accordance with the requiremens of the Road Management Act and he Code of Practice for Worksite Safety - Traffic Management 2004.

To ensure that the work is carried out safely for road users, adjoining residents and the contractor.

To ensure that the slashing is applied in a controlled manner to achieve the required outcome with minimal damage to non-target species, surrounding properties nad no detrimental effect on hte quality of surface and ground water.
