Expression of Interest (EOI) Melbourne Docklands - Sport & Recreation Provider (Urban Fringe Sports), Community Programs (Sport Education), Events, Sporting Competitions Venue & Open Space

⁠⁠⁠Development Victoria is seeking Expressions of Interest for a sport and recreation provider and operator to bring back to life a landmark former shipping shed (Shed 21) located along the Yarra River in Melbourne’s Docklands.

Submissions from consortiums are welcomed.

EOI opportunity: Sport and recreation provider and operator (urban fringe sports), community programs (sport education), events, sporting competitions venue and open space.

Unique site/location: Melbourne Docklands - 206 Lorimer Street Docklands (land adjacent to the Bolte Bridge and Yarra River).

Key features: Yarra River frontage; Docklands location; city/industrial/water views; use of 1950s landmark former shipping shed.

Occupancy Area: 4,200 sqm former shipping shed (roofed with predominately exposed walls) forming part of a 9,150 sqm site. Buildings which may be required onsite by the operator are to be temporary and relocatable only (i.e. shipping containers).

Occupancy Term: Initially until April 2023 (with potential to extend).
