The Lismore City Council formed on 1 April 1977 is a progressive and innovative organisation located in the heart of the beautiful Northern Rivers Region of NSW. Employing approximately 500 staff, Council provides services to over 44,000 residents and manages a budget of approximately $80 million per annum. Lismore is the commercial and cultural hub of the region. It provides many of the region's major services and its shopping and sporting facilities, hospitals and schools serve residents of much of the surrounding area.
Council has committed to internal productivity reviews. The purpose is to meet its Fit for the Future Commitments (financial sustainability requirements). Council is therefore seeking quotations in the form of a 'Request for Quote' (RFQ) from suitably qualified service providers to provide several reviews in a 12 month period.
The Provider/s need to be able to demonstrate expertise in:
1. 6 Sigma LEAN or similar methodology,
2. proven ability to deliver reviews that have led to improved more effective and efficient business processes in a number of government (preferably local government) organisations.
3. The ability to mentor Council staff in 6 Sigma LEAN or similar methodology will be highly regarded.
Council would like to engage a Provider for a period of 1 year with an option to extend the contract period for an additional 12 months.
