Seeking Independent Member for Audit, Risk and Improvement Committee

⁠⁠⁠Council is seeking an independent member to be appointed to its Audit Risk and Improvement Committee. This position would suit a person wishing to be involved in community or public service duties on a substantially volunteer basis, with any reasonable and actual expenses paid by Council.

Member's responsibilities include: the ability to understand relevant legislation and regulatory requirements; contribute some time to study and understand papers provided; analytical objectivity and judgement skills; ability to express opinions frankly and ask questions. Preference will be given to local persons with a strong background in one or more of the following:
Administration; corporate or public sector governance; finance; audit; legal; project management or management generally.
