Ku-Ring-Gai Council-Major Projects Advisory Committee

⁠⁠⁠Expressions of interest are invited from suitably qualified and experienced people to join Ku-ring-Gai Council’s newly formed Major Projects Advisory Committee as an independent external member.

Council has a property development pipeline with an estimated end value of $1.3 billion consisting of infrastructure construction projects and mixed use community center developments.

The key role of the Major Projects Advisory Committee is to provide Council with independent advice in relation to land acquisition, property development, construction and land disposal activities. The committee will consist of between three and five independent members of the community that have expertise in property development, large scale commercial and residential construction, urban renewal, risk management and local government governance. Applicants must be able to serve on the Committee between July 2018 and June 2021.

The Committee will meet four times per year, generally in February, May, August and November and additionally as required.

The role is a paid position with remuneration details provided to applicants during interviews. Applications outlining your relevant experience and qualifications in large projects/property industry, your knowledge of government instrumentalities and a current CV must be lodged by 5pm Tuesday 5 June 2018 and addressed to Craig Calder Interim leader, Major Projects at ccalder@kmc.nsw.gov.au.
