The Department of Justice and Attorney-General is seeking quotes for the delivery of an independent evaluation of the implementation of the statewide coronial assistance services (the services).
The network of legal assistance support available to vulnerable and disadvantaged Queenslanders is known as the ‘service system.’ Coronial assistance services are a new component of this service system. In May 2017, the Queensland Government allocated $325,000 over 2016-20 to Caxton Legal Centre (Caxton) to establish the services, which provide assistance to grieving families through direct service provision and coordination of pro bono services. The services are delivered in partnership with Townsville Community Legal Service.
Opportunity
We are seeking quotes for the delivery of an independent evaluation of the implementation of the services. Recommendations delivered through the evaluation will inform the services’ continuous improvement and may also inform future funding decisions on providing sustainable long-term funding.
