Mulching of Greenwaste and Timber Waste Products at Council Waste Facilties

⁠⁠⁠18_135 - Southern Downs Regional Council operates eighteen (18) waste facilities. These facilities consist of three (3) landfills, eight (8) supervised transfer stations and seven (7) unsupervised bin compounds. Council encourages the separate disposal of green waste and Timber Waste Products at stockpiles at the nominated waste facilities. The removal of green waste and Timber Waste Products from the landfill waste stream is a major target of waste minimization and efficient use of landfill space, as well as a resource for recycling or beneficial reuse.

This Contract includes mulching of green waste and Timber Waste Products to the specified size; any necessary shearing of oversized material; and mobilisation of plant to and from the nominated waste facilities.

Council anticipates four (4) mulching events during the three (3) year term, or more as required and requested by Council however no work is guaranteed and work will only be performed upon request. Services will include year round availability by the successful Contractor.
