Contract Project Manager Position

⁠⁠⁠The Mount Isa City Council is seeking tender submissions for the services of a self-motivated and experienced Contract Project Manager (2 Year term with possibility of extending), to take ownership of Council’s NDRRA submissions and delivery program.

The desired candidate will need to be locally based full time and needs to have a strong local connection and familiarity with the Mount Isa Shire area including its network of rural roads, must be an energetic individual and goal orientated yet very capable of working within a team environment.

Project Manager’s role will be involved in the damage assessing, preparing and detailing submissions for NDRRA funding assistance through the Qld Reconstruction Authority and work with Council’s works teams and contractors in the delivery of NDRRA Projects whilst working within all levels of government (Local, State and Federal) policies and plans.

The role may also be called upon by Council to assist with development, costing and delivery of other Council work including capital and operational projects.

Candidates must have a Civil or Mechanical Engineering degree from an accredited educational institute with a minimum NDRRA project delivery based experience of 3 years.
