Tender Description
Barcaldine Regional Council are rehabilitating a 4.9 km section of Barcaldine-Isisford Road from chainage 15.6 km to 20.5 km, which is approximately 22 km south of the town of Barcaldine.
This tender is for the load, haul and delivery of gravel pavement material for the project. The scope of works includes:-
* Scheduled volume of gravel material is 7100 m3 and scheduled total load is 12,000 tonnes.
* Gravel material is to be sourced from the Lochnagar Pit located 45 km east of Barcaldine on the Capricorn Highway. There is currently sufficient material stockpiled at the pit to provide for the project. The total haul distance from the Lochnagar Pit to the location of road works is 67 km.
* Gravel material is to be placed by the Contractor directly on prepared subgrade surface of the road. The Contractor’s required daily productivity rate is 1,200 tonnes/day.
