Community & Sporting Funding Opportunity

⁠⁠⁠Community and Sporting Funding Opportunity through NSW Government Stronger Country Communities Fund.

Greater Hume Council has been advised of its allocation for Round Two of the NSW Government's Stronger Country Communities Fund. To help identify priority projects for funding Greater Hume Council is seeking Expressions of Interest from sporting and community groups in Greater Hume. The information gathered will also assist Greater Hume Council with the future planning of sport and community facilities.

Eligible projects are construction of new or refurbishment / upgrade of existing community and local sporting infrastructure and capital works related to street beautification and public 'place making'. Examples of potential projects are community halls, kitchens, barbecue and recreation facilities, oval or court lighting, sports field fencing or surfacing, playgrounds, murals or community art instalments, sports field and golf course drainage / irrigation, toilet blocks, sports clubhouses, change rooms, grandstands, court resurfacing, seating, planting boxes, paving, skate parks, community fitness stations (fixed), shade cloth / pergolas, memorials or statues, aquatic facilities and pools, accessibility upgrades, walking or cycle pathways.

Expressions of Interest must seek a minimum of $50,000.

In considering potential projects sporting and community groups should be mindful that there are many diverse organisations across the Shire that will be seeking funding.

Greater Hume Council - Timeline for Expressions of Interest:
* Wednesday 4 April 2018 - Expressions of Interest close
* Monday 16 April 2018 - Expressions of Interest assessed and shortlisted (Shortlisted organisations contacted by Council to finalise applications for funding)
* Friday 4 May 2018 - Final Day for submission of Applications by Council
