Sydney Metro is Australia’s biggest urban rail project in Australian history, transforming how we get around the nation’s biggest city.
The first stage of the Sydney Metro West industry engagement process in 2017 helped us to build awareness of the project and obtain market information to shape the project scope and definition. Feedback received from this engagement process has also been used to help develop an initial delivery strategy for the project.
The NSW Government is now undertaking the second stage of industry engagement. This will involve a market sounding survey of industry appetite and preference for packaging options, contracting options, and transaction principles identified in the initial delivery strategy. We will also hold one-on-one meetings with selected participants focusing on key topics, including:
* Opportunities to enhance project benefits by potentially integrating delivery of additional Sydney Metro West stations to renew larger landholdings
* Integrated project place making, stations and development
* The packaging of metro operations and maintenance
* NSW Government strategies to broaden market capacity
The second stage of industry engagement will take place April 30 to June 30 2018.
