500.2018.0014 - This work involves the construction of a new 4.5m diameter Sewage Pump Station No. 3 (SPS3) at Cannonvale. The existing pump station and receiving manhole was originally constructed in 1979/1980 and both have suffered severe concrete corrosion and loss of internal reinforcement due to H2S generated gases.
The pump station also has a number of operational and safety issues which could not be addressed by simply rehabilitating the existing wet wells. Hence, Council has made the decision to construct a new pump station and to demolish the old pump station and rehabilitate the site.
