⁠⁠⁠18037 - Maranoa Regional Council invites tenders for the sale of land and buildings located at 29 Bowen Street and 45 - 47 Hawthorne Street, Roma.

Ideally located on the corner of two major highways, within the CBD of Roma, the amalgamated lot provides a unique opportunity for development. The property is zoned as "Principal Centre" in the Maranoa Planning Scheme 2017.

The Property is comprised of:
* One office building fronting the Warrego highway (formerly operated as the Roma Neighbourhood Centre). The building is constructed of timber with a corrugated iron roof. Asbestos material is present in the building, as outlined in attached extract from Council’s asbestos register.
* One house fronting Hawthorne Street which has asbestos containing materials.
* Vacant land on corner of lot (diagonally across from McDonalds).
* Total land area of 3,972m2.

Tenderers are invited to purchase the buildings and parcel of land as a package, or purchase the two buildings (i.e. removal from the land).

After the evaluation, and if a suitable Tenderer is selected, Council will prepare an REIQ Contract for signature by both parties.
