Woollahra Council invites suitably qualified parties to tender for the following work:
* The design and construction of a new playground incorporating results from public consultation process undertaken by Woollahra Council to provide for an environmentally themed creative and unique playground with a minimum area of 280m2 (existing size) with scope to increase the size utilising the adjacent natural bushland embankment area.
* Ensure there are play opportunities for all children of all physical and intellectual ability included in the design to allow and encourage children to connect with the natural environment as well as provide age appropriate physically challenging and social play opportunities.
This tender is offered as a design and construct tender. The budget provided for the project is $250,000 ex. GST. This amount includes all costs for labour and materials for both design and construction phases of the project. Therefore Council is seeking tenders from experienced and qualified parties that are committed to delivering a high quality playground environment and value for money.
The play equipment can be a combination of bespoke and proprietary designs however it is as important to consider the landscape and sculptural elements as part of an overall play experience for children and their carers.
The project is composed of three stages:
1. Development of a concept design and preliminary costing.
2. Final design and costing
3. Construction
