Tender Description
This offer has been called to engage a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to design & construct slope stabilisation on eleven (11) sites as a result of tropical cyclone Debbie in March 2017.
The successful contractor will review any existing geotechnical investigations (Section 6 -Appendix 2) provided along with the proposed options. Pricing of the mandatory option listed in schedule 3 – schedule of prices will be a conforming tender.
The Tenderer may offer an alternative option it will assessed as an alternative. Alternative options will only be considered when it is more economical than the proposed option for the execution of the works.
The Contractor will engage a suitably experienced Engineer to supervise and certify the construction works on completion. The contractor will be responsible for the all associated work in accordance with the scopes provided.
Details of the scope of works are included in the Specifications and Drawings sections of this document.
The Request for Offer and subsequent Contractor engagement process will be conducted in accordance with the Local Government (General) Act 1993 and Local Government (General) Regulation 2005 as well as the Tweed Shire Council Procurement Protocol v1.8.
