Forbes Shire Council extends an invitation for expressions of interest for the lease and/or purchase of its property at 75 Hill Street Forbes (Lot 38 Deposited Plan 198447).

The site, known as JREC Karoola was part of the former Jemalong Retirement Village. The site is 2,952 sqm on its own freehold title, and the incorporate a single level hospital-style building (gross building area is 766 sqm) of double brick and metal deck roof construction, built circa 1960s, bitumen sealed parking and driveway accommodation with two driveways providing a drive-in drive-out access.

The property is located between Berkley and Bathurst Streets. The building would be suitable for commercial purposes. Council will consider options for ground lease, ground lease with option to purchase or outright purchase of the site based on market value.
