Jemena owns and distributes electricity to over 319,000 customer sites via approximately 6,160 km of distribution system and over 950 square kilometres of north-west greater Melbourne.

It is one of five licensed electricity distribution networks in Victoria. The network footprint incorporates a mix of major industrial areas, residential growth areas, established inner suburbs and Melbourne International Airport.

When we maintain our network infrastructure, we utilise skilled personnel with specialised fleet and plant to perform the work safely. Jemena owns, leases and operates various fleet and plant that are built specifically to enable us to perform these works.

As part of maintaining service to our customers and a safe operating environment for our employees, we ensure we replace aging specialised fleet and plant at periodic intervals.

This invitation to tender is for the replacement of 1 of our Pole Erection Recovery Units (PERU’s) with a new truck, crane erector/earth borer and trailer based upon the specifications outlined in Jemena drawing numbers JEM 0010 and JEM 0021. eg: ProLine Crane Earth Borer. It is expected this will meet the design and manufacturing requirements of Australian Standards AS1418.1, AS1418.5 & AS2550.1
