Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠Expressions of Interest (EoI) closing at 15:00 on Tuesday 5th February are invited from suitably experienced, skilled and competent airport management contractors who wish to pre-qualify to tender for a proposed contract to manage Clarence Valley Regional Airport (Grafton). A shortlist of prospective tenderers will be invited to tender for the contract.

Clarence Valley Regional Airport (YGFN) is located approximately 6 nm (11 km) south east of the City of Grafton in northern New South Wales.

The airport is a certified, security controlled, code 3 aerodrome served by non-precision instrument approaches, and is equipped with a complete aeronautical ground lighting system and an Air Services Australia NDB navigation aid. Regional Express provides regular public transport flights to Lismore and Sydney in Saab 340 aircraft.

The NSW Rural Fire Service is establishing a permanent base for aerial fire-fighting operations at the airport. Generally, flying activity is limited to the day and early evening during normal operations however, the airport is available for 24 hour operations. The airport is currently being managed by a third party contractor (Aviation Projects Pty Ltd) under an interim arrangement.

The contract term is initially proposed as three years with two options for three year extensions.

A compulsory site visit will be held on Monday 22nd January at 11:00. Persons wishing to attend the site visit must register by Close of Business on Thursday 18 January.
