Marrara Multi-Purpose Hall - Provision of Ablution Upgrade and Accessible Sanitary Facility

⁠⁠⁠A general outline of the work to be carried out under the Contract comprises:
Provision of a new accessible sanitary compartment and upgrading of the existing ablution facilities to include removal and replacement of existing asbestos partitions, provision of ambulant cubicles and new urinals and Wc’s. The site of the works is the Marrara Multi-Purpose Hall Lot 5103; 10 Abala Road Marrara NT.

The works comprise of the following:

• All demolition and new works as shown within NTG contract drawings – Refer Section 3.3, Schedule of Drawings and Section 3.4, Documents included in contract (ensure to click on the link below to visit the NT Tenders Website to Register and Download the Tender Documents).
• The Superintendent will provide a Building Permit, for these works.
• Carry out asbestos removal as per clause 3.16
• The Multi-Purpose Hall will be in operation while the works are being carried out and minimal distraction / interruption shall be caused.
• Allow for site of works to be securely fenced off with temporary fencing during the works.
• Before excavating, locate and mark existing underground services in the area affected by the groundwork’s.
• All demolition works to be carried out during normal business hours, all demolished materials are to be removed from site and disposed of at approved landfill site. The location for a skip bin and designated parking areas must be confirmed with the Facility Manager at the Contractor’s start up meeting.
• Security of the site, existing linkway/foyer and adjoining building must be maintained during construction.
• Contractor is not allowed to use the Indoor Stadium toilets unless the Indoor Stadium allows the usage of their staff toilets located at the main building.
• Contractor to arrange for compaction testing and pay all fees necessary. Provide proof of compaction prior to proceeding with further works.
• The contractor is to maintain a clean, tidy and safe site and shall contain all waste materials and remove from site every day. All work is to be carried out in accordance with NT Worksafe requirements and Contractors entering school sites.Site to be returned to condition found, any damage made to landscaping or existing areas is to be repaired and cleaned by the contractor.
