Tender Description
As part of Council's commitment to upgrade our region, Council's Works Department will commence construction on the Wilson Beach Sea Wall on Thursday 14th September 2017. The project is expected to be complete Friday 13th October 2017, weather permitting. The re-construction of the Wilson Beach rock wall will be undertaken in three stages:
* Stage 1 - Existing rock wall - make the site safe by moving loose boulders into more effective positions.
* Stage 2 - Construction of new rock wall - re-construction of the rock wall in accordance with the approved engineering plans
* Stage 3 - Beach nourishment - once the new rock wall has been constructed, additional sand will be placed seaward of the wall.
The project crew will work six days a week from Monday to Saturday between the hours of 6:30am to 5:00pm as required. Whilst Council will endeavor to keep disruptions to a minimum, we regret that there will be a lot of noise due to the nature of the work.
