11052 - Ipswich city is experiencing rapid population growth, greater housing density and increasing social complexity. Ipswich City Council (Council) is committed to implementing a community infrastructure strategy that facilitates quality of life for the city’s residents and has commenced construction of a Community Centre at 180 School Road, Redbank Plains (the Centre). It is anticipated that construction will be completed by December 2017 with the Centre operational soon afterwards. The Centre will:
* Allow a diverse range of community members and groups to meet, engage and build social networks.
* Provide a safe and inclusive environment for the delivery of social services that meet the unique needs of the community.
* Facilitate the delivery of programed learning and life experiences that enhance the lives of all members of the community.
