Tender Details
Tender Description
The Department of Education and Training is seeking organisations with established industry expertise in Australian Apprenticeships to provide mentoring services to Australian Apprentices in their first two years of training. The mentee must be undertaking their Australian Apprenticeship in an industry that is restructuring or transitioning. Mentoring services must complement existing Australian Apprenticeships support arrangements, particularly similar services funded by State/Territory Governments, and accompany growth in the Australian Apprenticeships market driven by the Skilling Australians Fund.
The purpose of this procurement is to identify organisations capable of implementing the Australian Government’s strategy to improve retention rates within the first two years of Australian Apprenticeships through the provision of industry specialised mentoring services. Organisations must have expertise in Australian Apprenticeships in the industry they intend to service. They must have an in-depth knowledge of the challenges the industry is experiencing and its impacts on Australian Apprenticeships completion rates. Industry is well placed to advise the government on industry specific issues and deliver a service that addresses these particular challenges.
The outcomes required from the program are improved retention of Australian Apprentices in the first two years of training leading to comparatively increased numbers of completions in the system, particularly in industries undergoing structural change. Tenderers must be capable of defining the issues affecting retention/completion of Australian Apprenticeships in their industry and measures of success of their proposed mentoring service.
