Tender Description
The 2017/18 NSW State Budget’s Local Sport Defibrillator Program aims to provide funding, under grant funding guidelines, for Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) and AED Packaged Services over a four-year period commencing in the fourth quarter of 2017 and ending in the 2020/21 year.
The Program was announced by the NSW Minister for Sport, Hon Stuart Ayres on 13 June 2017, following expressions of concern among sporting organisations regarding the need for AEDs at sporting venues to be used in the event of cardiac arrest.
The Office of Sport will facilitate a pre-qualification scheme under an open market tender process in order to receive responses, evaluate, select and pre-qualify:
i) Multiple Automated External Defibrillator Suppliers (hereafter “AED Suppliers”). AED Suppliers will have pre-qualified product/s (hereafter “Approved AED Products”) that meet or exceed the Minimum Performance Specifications and Minimum Requirements as will be defined in the Statement of Requirements, and
ii) Multiple AED Service Providers (hereafter “AED Service Providers”) that have the ability to provide AED Packaged Services that meet or exceed the Minimum Requirements as will be defined in the Statement of Requirements.
