Conrad Gargett Architects on behalf of the Historical Woolscour Association and Blackall-Tambo Regional Council are seeking Expressions of Interest for suitably qualified contractors wanting to be included in the Tender for the Blackall Woolscour Upgrade Works. The tender process will include 4-5 contractors who will be selected based on satisfying the below criteria.
The Blackall Woolscour is a State heritage listed site located off Evora Rd in Blackall, QLD. The proposed development focuses on conserving the existing buildings on the site and also upgrading the facilities by providing guest accommodation, amenities, dining and kitchen facilities.
The scope of works includes:
* New timber framed guest amenities building, to service the shearers quarters accommodation (90m2)
* New timber framed dining hall to provide facilities for day and overnight visitors (110m2)
* Refurbish the existing shearers quarters building to create guest accommodation (175m2)
* Repair damage to the existing cookhouse building
The EOI submission is to be a maximum of 5 A4 pages, and is to include the following:
* Contractors name and building licence number
* Contractors CV and nominated Site Foreman
* Contractors insurances
* Description of relevant experience within the local area
* Description of experience working with heritage and/or existing timber buildings
This submission is not for pricing the proposed works. Successful submissions will be invited to Tender on the project in August 2017 with construction scheduled to start in September 2017.
