The key objectives of the audit are to establish the weight of various waste streams (waste, recycling and greenwaste) and the contamination levels of each stream being deposited in the Mobile Garbage Bins (MGB) by householders.
The audit aims to:
* Determine the detailed material composition and weights of all samples for each waste stream;
* Determine the average bin presentation rates for all waste streams;
* Determine the contamination levels within each of the three streams including the second recycling bin;
* Compare the economic and waste minimisation outcomes to the previous waste audit; and
* Compare predicted greenhouse gas emissions with the previous waste audit.
