Ruby Awards 2017 - Event Management

⁠⁠⁠1617184 - The Ruby Awards is a celebration of South Australia’s arts and cultural industry. The first Ruby Awards was in 2006 and it has been running every year since. The awards recognize individual artists and organisations who have contributed to South Australia’s arts and cultural industry and to the community as a whole.

The Ruby Awards has ten different categories: Best Work; Best Event; Community and Regional Impact under $100,000; Community and Regional Impact over $100,000; Arts Innovation and Enterprise; Sustained contribution by an organisation or group; People’s Choice; Sustained Contribution - individual; Geoff Crowhurst Memorial Award and Premier’s Award for Lifetime Achievement.

Business Requirement
Arts South Australia has limited resources and therefore does not have the capacity to run an event of this size and complexity.

The successful respondent will need to theme (in consultation with Arts South Australia) and manage all aspects of the event according to the event brief. The event will be held on the 2 December 2017 at the Queen’s Theatre. The services that the respondent will need to consider are entertainment, sourcing an appropriate MC in agreement with Arts South Australia, sound, lighting, bar and catering services.
