⁠⁠⁠LG314/690/17/079 - The Principal requires the skills of a specialist team to deliver event management services including the delivery of temporary infrastructure and event management coordination.

The Commonwealth House with Gold Coast Media Centre Project (Project) is a joint initiative of the Queensland Government, through the Department of Tourism, Major Events, Small Business and the Commonwealth Games, Office of the Commonwealth Games (OCG) and the City of Gold Coast (City). The purpose of the Project and associated business and media program (Event Program) is to improve the global reputation of the Gold Coast and Queensland as a sound place for business, sport, investment, education and lifestyle by leveraging the unique profile that the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games™ (GC2018) will bring.

GC2018 will be the biggest event the city has ever hosted and the largest multi-sport event held in Australia for a decade. From 4 to 15 April 2018 the Gold Coast will host more than 6,500 athletes and team officials from 71 nations and territories.

The Project requires an experienced Event Manager to create a temporary dedicated area at Kurrawa Terrace in Broadbeach, and manage the associated events
* Commonwealth House - A shared function space with the Gold Coast Media Centre for hosting business leaders, dignitaries and VIPs (Heads of Government, Premier, Deputy Premier, Ministers, Mayor), through the provision of a range of media, networking and business events.
* Gold Coast Media Centre (GCMC) - A dedicated workspace for media personnel/broadcasters and a shared function space with Commonwealth House for press briefings and media events. Personnel using the GCMC Work Room will be reporting across news, sport, entertainment and other topics of interest.
