Allora Waste Facility Supervision

⁠⁠⁠17/111 - The Council operates the Waste Management Services for the Allora and Forest Springs region via:
a) A Waste Transfer Station, located on Burges Road, Allora - to receive domestic, commercial and industrial and construction and demolition waste;
b) Bin Facilities at the Forest Springs Bin Compound, located on Forest Springs - Goomburra Road - receives only domestic waste and recycling.

The Council currently performs the services by contract and wishes to develop new Service Contracts with suitable contractors to continue the Services.

The Council also wishes to segregate recyclable materials from the waste delivered to the above mentioned facility in order to reduce waste going to landfill.

The recyclable materials are to include, but not restricted to; cardboard, paper, plastic, glass, metals, batteries, green waste, timber waste, white goods, construction and demolition waste and other reusable goods.
