Tender Description
The areas to be covered under this RFQ relates to Foreshore Beach areas, Foreshore Beach boat ramp and carpark, Mill Stream Carpark and lookout and Penrhyn Estuary lookout. These areas are located on the southern side of Foreshore Road between the Mill Stream and Penrhyn Road, Banksmeadow. Port Authority of New South Wales (PANSW) is responsible for the maintenance of the areas for public use. The area is particularly popular for a variety of water activities making use of the Boat Ramp facilities.
Penrhyn Estuary is an ecologically sensitive area. Extensive work has gone into enhancing the estuary and creating habitat suitable for and targeted at a range of shorebirds both migratory and non-migratory. Contractors need to be mindful of the significant of an ecologically sensitive area. Contractors must demonstrate their understanding of the requirements to comply.
