Tender Description

Jemena is an Australian energy company that owns and operates a premium portfolio of electricity, gas and water transportation assets across the east coast of Australia. With $9 billion worth of major utility infrastructure, we supply millions of households and businesses with these essential services every day. An Australian industry leader with a rich local heritage, Jemena has more than a century’s experience and expertise in the utilities sector. We know Australian energy, and with our high-quality, strategically-located distribution and transmission assets, we are poised to make the most of opportunities for growth and innovation available in today’s rapidly changing industry.

Jemena has a requirement to undertake distribution network works relating to the construction of a second KTS to Sunbury (SBY) Zone Substation 66kV line.

An outcome of the establishment of this line is a Vicroads requirement for road safety barriers to be installed by Jemena to designate clearance from the new poles to the road. The clear zone for a 100km/h road for new poles is 9 metres from the edge of the running road.

This means there is a requirement for approximately 8.4km (TBC) of wire road barriers which will sit 5 metres from the edge of the traffic lane, along Plumpton Rd to Tarleton Rd to the Vineyard Road roundabout.

The scope of this tender is for barriers to be supplied and installed by the selected contractor. Any concrete supplied for installation is to be included in the total cost and any traffic control required for installation of these barriers is to be included in the total cost.
