Ararat Rural City is seeking expressions of interest (EOI) from members of the wider Ararat regional community for the Ararat Regional Art Gallery Advisory Committee.

The advisory committee supports the gallery across a range of areas. Members include a Councillor, a representative of Council’s Executive Leadership Group, Council’s Manager Cultural Services and four community representatives.

Two community representative positions are currently vacant for three-year terms from 1 July 2017 to 30 June 2020.

Applicants for committee membership should demonstrate their suitability through a written response (maximum 300 words) to the following criteria:
* An understanding of the purpose of the advisory committee;
* An ability to advance the gallery through advocacy and support, including pro-bono contributions and philanthropy;
* An ability to work cooperatively as a committee member to achieve positive outcomes;
* A background in the arts, marketing, philanthropy or community development;

A Selection Panel of Council’s advisory committee representatives will assess EOIs received and will present appointment recommendations to Council for approval.

EOIs are due on Friday 23 June 2017 at 5pm and can be lodged as follows:
