Parks Victoria wishes to procure the construction of:
A walking track upgrade to AS 2156.1-2001 Class 4 standard, on a section of the existing Mt Difficult walking track between the junction of the Mt Difficult summit track to the proposed hiker camp.
The main tasks are to install rock steps and flagstone paving using local rock. Install new rock drains, undertake a minor trail realignments, trail reforming and benching. All rock material can be sourced on site.
The scope of works includes:
Upgrading existing Mt Difficult walking track from the junction of the Mt Difficult summit track junction to the proposed hiker camp (925 Lin. m).
Track work includes the installation of:
* 698 Lin m of track definition
* 7 new rock steps
* 43 Lin m of flagstone paving
* 40 Lin m of trail realignment
* 35 stone pitched steps
* 15 stepping stones
