Parks Victoria wishes to procure the construction of:
A walking track upgrade to AS 2156.1-2001 Class 4 standard, from the Mt Zero carpark to the Mt Staplyton summit. The proposed works will harden and stabilise the existing track surface.
The main tasks are to upgrade the walking track, install new rock steps using local rock. Installing new rock drains, removing trip rocks, trail reforming and track re-benching. All rock material can be sourced on site.
The scope of works includes:
Upgrading existing walking track from the Mt Zero carpark to the Mt Staplyton summit (1084 Lin. m).
The track upgrade works consists of:
* Construct 25 Lin M of rock pitching
* Installing 510 new rock steps
* Construction of 5m x 1m x 0.5 m retaining wall (2.5 Cubic m)
* Sourcing and splitting 358 rock steps
* Removing 247 Lin. M of trip rocks
* Installing 550 landscape rocks
* Sourcing and splitting 320 landscape rocks
* Installing 5 rock drains
* Re-benching 13 Lin M of walking track
