Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠Port Stephens Council requires the services of a Service Provider who has the capacity and expertise to refurbish an amenities building for the Fingal Bay Holiday at 52 Marine Drive, Fingal Bay. It is mandatory that all interested parties attend the Pre-Tender Meeting.

Brief Description of the Proposed Project & Location:
The subject amenities block is currently one of three amenities within the park and was originally constructed in circa 1977. Even though renovations have taken place over time the amenities are now considered tired and in need of a substantial upgrade to ensure that the Fingal Bay Holiday Park continues to maintain its stature as a destination of choice for tourists to Port Stephens & Surrounding Areas.

This is a brick and mortar building which has two external ambulant toilets. Both female and male sections are made up of six shower cubicles, six toilet cubicles and 8 hand basins with a double urinal trough in the male side and a child's bathtub in the female side. This building houses a guest laundry which has four token operated clothes dryers, five token operated washing machines and ironing facilities. This building also houses a small storage area and plant room.

The objective of the project is to carry out an upgrade/refurbishment of the amenities block to achieve functional improvements that will contribute to better energy efficiency and improve the blocks environmental efficiencies.

The upgrade/refurbishment is mostly focused on the internal layout, fittings and fixtures along with provisions for safety, efficiency and visual improvements of the Asset and its curtilage.

An important part of the project is the construction of a DDA compliant disabled facility within the existing building. It is envisaged to convert/extend the existing outside ambulant toilets accordingly. The scoping and design of this facility is the sole responsibility of the contractor.

The site is located in the Fingal Bay Holiday Park at 52 Marine Drive, Fingal Bay, NSW 2315.

A mandatory Pre-Tender Meeting will be held onsite, 1.00pm on Thursday, 25 May 2017.
