Tender Description
The Household Chemical Collection Program (HCC Program) has been administered by Sustainability Victoria and its predecessors since 1994. The HCC Program aims to reduce the danger to human health and the environment posed by poor management, storage and disposal of chemicals and targeted materials by providing householders access to a free and safe disposal service.
A component of the HCC Program consists of the staging of mobile events; and the collection and transport of chemicals and targeted materials from mobile event and permanent drop-off specified sites across metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria to resource recovery, treatment and disposal service contractors.
Through this Request for Tender, Sustainability Victoria seeks to identify a suitably qualified and experienced organisation that is:
* Able to provide the required services in the manner set out in the Specification;
* Capable of, and committed to, working in collaboration with Sustainability Victoria over the term of the contract to continuously seek improvements in value, efficiency and productivity in connection with the provision of the services sought; and
* Prepared to work with Sustainability Victoria to continue to identify opportunities for improvement in the quality and level of service provided, for the mutual benefit of both parties.
The initial contract term is two years and seven months commencing 1 December 2017 through to 30 June 2020 with two 12 month extensions at Sustainability Victoria’s discretion.
Sustainability Victoria proposes to engage, via a separate RFT process, contractors to provide the resource recovery, treatment and disposal of chemicals and targeted materials for the HCC Program. Tenderers are advised that they may submit a separate tender response for the resource recovery, treatment and disposal services.
