Summary of Specification
The following summary indicates the general nature of the Works for which Delta Electricity desires Tenders to be submitted and is issued to enable potential Tenderers to make an assessment whether the Specification documents should be obtained from Delta Electricity for the purpose of submitting a tender response. It does not form part of the Specification and should not be included as part of the Tenderer's offer.
Purpose of Work
The works required under this Contract will cover the supply of bulk Fuel Oil (distillate) to Delta Electricity's Vales Point Power Station for the purpose of boiler ignition.
Extent of Work
The extent of the work is for the supply of Fuel Oil as and when required by Vales Point Power Station over a two year period. The approximate quantity of Fuel Oil required at the power station over a 12 month period is 4.0 million litres. However, this figure is simply a guide to the order of magnitude of quantities which might be consumed.
It places no obligation on the part of Delta to accept such quantities nor does it limit the total deliveries to that figure. Delta requires that Tenderers have the capacity to deliver at least 180,000 litres within 24 hours of a request for supply.
