Tender Description
Lihir Gold Limited (LGL), a fully owned subsidiary of Newcrest Mining Limited, invites expressions of interest from experienced and qualified training providers to submit proposals to deliver training programs in the fitting of mine vehicle tyres. LGL conducts its mining operations at its mine site on Lihir Island, Papua New Guinea and the successful supplier will be required to deliver its training services on site.
General Information:
* Respondents will have a record of successful delivering training programs in heavy industry or mining sector;
* Respondents will demonstrate personal experience and qualifications in fitting heavy vehicle and light vehicle tyres;
* Respondents must demonstrate a capability to successfully deliver training programs to personnel of multicultural backgrounds;
* This is an exclusive service arrangement spanning three years;
* Year One - Formal delivery and accreditation
* Years Two and Three - Refresher training
* A standard form Newcrest supply contract will be executed.
Specific Requirements:
* Services will be delivered at the mine site on Lihir Island.
* Services will be delivered annually involving two to three training periods comprising up to 30 participants in total;
* Training must be to Certificate II Australian Industry standard;
* A Key deliverable is theoretical and practical training elements designed to consolidate learning outcomes.
LGL will invite shortlisted interested parties to participate in LGL's Request for Proposal (RFP) process based on the quality of their expressions of interest. To be considered, interested parties are requested to respond to this EOI by no later than Wednesday 5th April 2017. EOIs must be emailed to: LGOProposal.Requests@newcrest.com.au.
Interested parties to note:
* LGL may accept a late EOI and may request clarification or additional information from an applicant;
* LGL accepts no liability whatsoever for an EOI not received due to internet connectivity issues, transmission delays or errors;
* LGL is under no obligation to invite applicants to participate in the RFP process;
* In the process LGL is under no obligation to accept the highest or any proposal submitted;
* LGL will not be liable for costs incurred by an applicant in responding to this EOI or preparing a proposal.
