Primary Mental Health Care - Mental Health Professional

⁠⁠⁠WentWest is seeking Expressions of Interest from registered Psychologists and Mental Health professionals to provide services through Primary Mental Health Care (PHMC). This program replaces the previous Access to Allied Psychological Supports (ATAPs) program.

Successful candidates will become a registered provider for PMHC and will be able to provide services to clients that have been approved by WentWest after a referral from a GP or other health professional. Clients are unable to access Medicare Better Access and PMHC in the same year.

WentWest offers no guarantee of referrals under this program and each registered provider is responsible for their own marketing and promotion however providers will be listed on the WentWest website and may be allocated additional referrals where appropriate.

WentWest provides a purchase order for a set number of sessions after a client referral has been approved. Providers are required to submit a record of attendance with each invoice after a session has been completed with a client. After 6 sessions, providers are required to provide a progress report to the referring GP for approval for additional sessions. Current rate paid by WentWest is $140 plus GST for an hour session.
