500.2017.0014 - Council is establishing a Register of Pre-Qualified Suppliers for the Design, Construction, Commissioning, Operation and Maintenance of Integrated Photo-Voltaic Electricity Generation and Battery Storage Systems.
With over one hundred building assets across the Whitsunday Region Council aims to reduce the significant impact of the increase in electricity pricing through a project to install solar panels on nominated Council assets.
To assist in this aim Council has allocated significant funds in the 2016/2017 budget for the project however in addition to this funding; Council has received funding through the Queensland Governments Works for Queensland (W4Q) program.
