Tender Description
City of Melbourne wishes to invite homelessness service agencies, community health services and other organisations, to submit a proposal to provide a Night-time Safe Space program that: Operates within the City of Melbourne municipality (preference given to a CBD location and the proposal could consist of more facilities operated by the service provider to provide greater geographical coverage across the municipality).
Provides integrated housing and support services on site to help participants find permanent pathways out of homelessness.
Operates up to 250 evenings commencing in early May 2017. At a minimum the service will be required over the winter period from 1 May to 30 November. Council is seeking up to 7 nights per week (11pm-7am) coverage which may be delivered across different sites.
In addition coverage is required to provide summer respite from 1 December -30 April. This is based on Council's heatwave protocol which is activated when notified of extreme heat.
