In September 2015 we obtained a world ranking for the third consecutive year in the QS World University Rankings. In 2015, we have also been ranked in the Times Higher Education ranking in 2015, a first for the University of Canberra, further confirming our rise amongst the top universities in the world.
The main ACT Campus is located in Bruce, close to the Belconnen Town Centre and suburban neighbourhoods. UC also has arrangements with partner organisations in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane to deliver UC courses in these states. Since the first full-time student enrolment in 1970, UC has produced over sixty thousand graduates. UC currently has about 1,000 employees and approximately 14,000 students. The current academic structure of UC is comprised of four faculties and three research centres.
The New Nursing Lab and Student Breakout Space project within BLDG 10, Level A arose due to the condition of the existing spaces which are uninspiring and unwelcoming. The intent was to design and refurb the majority of the building so it can be morphed into highly energy efficient and inspiring spaces.
During stakeholder consultation, it became obvious that the faculty is in need of significant refurbishment but the short term goal was to achieve their immediate priority (Stage 1) of the creation of new nursing lab to satisfy nursing accreditation requirements.
It is expected that works will commence on 1 May 2017 with a completion date no later than 10 July 2017.
There will be a site inspection at 10.00 am, Wednesday 1 March 2017. Respondents are requested to advise the contact officer if they wish to attend.
Please confirm your attendance to the contact officer via email: Lynda.Bruce@canberra.edu.au.
The industry brief meeting point will be outside of Building 10 at the entrance towards Kirinari Street, see enclosed link: the following address.
