AIR 9000 Ph 8 (MH-60R) is acquiring a fleet of Lockheed Martin MH-60R helicopters and associated support systems and has identified a need to procure 12 electric hydraulic power supplies to meet routine hydraulic system maintenance and test requirements for aircraft embarked on seagoing vessels. The hydraulic power supply must conform to size constraints for stowage and handling on Naval vessels, be able to sustain normal operating criteria over prolonged operation and be able to provide an increased fluid output temperature over short periods in order to meet the test requirements of the aircraft’s hydraulic system.
The Contract will be conducted in two phases. Phase 1 will develop and deliver one prototype hydraulic power supply that meets the requirements of the draft Description Of Requirements (DOR) for Commonwealth test and evaluation. Phase 2 will deliver an additional eleven hydraulic power supply that are compliant with the Final DOR.
