Lihir Gold Limited (LGL), a fully owned subsidiary of Newcrest Mining Ltd, invites expressions of interest from experienced and qualified service providers to submit proposals to conduct periodic equipment testing and calibration. LGL conducts its mining operations at its mine site on Lihir Island, Papua New Guinea and the successful supplier will be required to deliver its services on site.

General Information:
* Respondents will have a record of successful service delivery in heavy industry or mining sector;
* Respondents will have demonstrated capability to supply quality operational sta and calibration and testing equipment to ensure accuracy and precision of service delivery;
* The services must include the calibration of portable test and measurement instrumentation, the testing of HV operating tools and equipment including portable earths and the testing of electrical safety gloves;
* This is an exclusive service arrangement spanning three years;
* A standard form Newcrest supply contract will be executed.

Specific Requirements:
* Services will be delivered at the mine site on Lihir Island;
* Services will be delivered annually during one continuous service period;
* All calibrations and tests must be conducted in accordance with relevant Australian standards or equivalent;
* A key deliverable is a register recording the results and the due date of next inspection for each piece of equipment tested and calibrated.

LGL will invite shortlisted interested parties to participate in LGL's Request for Proposal (RFP) process based on the quality of their expressions of interest. To be considered, interested parties are requested to respond to this EOI by no later than Friday 17 February 2017.

Interested parties to note:
* LGL may accept a late EOI and may request clarification or additional information from an applicant;
* LGL accepts no liability whatsoever for an EOI not received due to internet connectivity issues, transmission delays or errors;
* LGL is under no obligation to invite applicants to participate in the RFP process;
* In the RFP process LGL is under no obligation to accept the highest or any proposal submitted;
* LGL will not be liable for costs incurred by an applicant in responding to this EOI or preparing a proposal.
