The Ararat Rural City Council hereby invites for public tender from suitably qualified and experienced organisations for the Provision of Construction Services for the Ararat Arts Precinct Redevelopment Project.

Built in 1898 the Ararat Town Hall is one of the grandest public buildings in regional Victoria. Located in the heart of the Ararat CBD, the Town Hall is a landmark building in the Ararat community. The building and precinct are listed on the Victoria Heritage register.

This Project will see a refurbishment of the existing Town Hall by way of an extension to the rear of the Town Hall building to house an extended gallery, café, green room and storage areas as well as refurbishment of the interior of the current Performing Arts Centre. Works will also include landscaping and civil works to the perimeter of the site.

This project is jointly funded by Federal, State and Local Governments as well as the local community.

Lobbying of elected members will disqualify potential tenderers.
